Invitation for Young Musicians to Participate in Erasmus+ Project on Music and Culture
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to share an exciting opportunity, presented by the Immaculate Conception Band Club of Ħamrun, Malta. As part of our commitment to fostering musical talent and cultural exchange, we are organizing a youth exchange program through the ERASMUS+ programme, Project Code: 2024-1-MT01-KA152-YOU-000227692.
Our youth band will be traveling to Termini Imerese, Italy, from the 25th to the 29th of November. This project aims to empower young musicians, offering them a unique opportunity to engage with their peers from another country while exploring the significant role that music plays in culture, integration, globalization, and identity.
The Immaculate Conception Band Club has a rich cultural heritage and is deeply rooted in the tradition of Maltese band clubs, which are central to our country's social and cultural life. As an organization, we are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Maltese musical traditions, and we believe that this experience will significantly broaden the horizons of the participating youths.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic musicians aged between 15 and 30 years, able to play music in Level 3 and Level 4, to join us on this journey. All travel and accommodation costs will be fully covered by the Erasmus+ programme.
Interested students are encouraged to apply by completing the attached application form by the 15th of August. Applicants will be subject to an audition conducted by our Band Master and his assistant to ensure the selection of suitable candidates.
We would greatly appreciate your support in promoting this opportunity. This experience not only promises to enhance their musical abilities but also to deepen their understanding of the cultural connections that music fosters across borders.
